51. Sin When I sin O Lord, help me to see that I am primarily sinning against you. It is you that I have offended. It is your law that I have broken. It is your infinite glory that I have rejected. How dare I do that. When I come to you for forgiveness, help me to confess it deeply and freely receive your forgiveness.
52. Patience God, I am so impatient. If an elevator door doesn't close quickly enough, I quickly push the button again and again. When a microwave takes too long, I get annoyed. When I want things, I want them now. Yet your word tells me to 'wait on the Lord.' Father, how long do I wait? How long should my soul be still before I come into your presence? Give me your grace to quiet my soul before you for one hour, then for one day, then for a week, then to be patiently waiting for your glorious presence, even up to a month or two. God I long for you. Don't let my impatience keep me from meeting with you.
53. Glorifying God in our death Lord, I desire greatly that you would be glorified in my life. But, in the same breath, O God, glorify yourself through my death. May my death come in such a way that will bring you tremendous glory. Take me quickly, or have me suffer. May both my life and my death bring you glory.
54. Living for God God, your word clearly says that you have plans and purposes for me. Refine my understanding of what those plans and purposes are. And I ask you to give me favor in the eyes of those with whom you want me to accomplish those purposes. I cannot do it on my own. I am totally dependent upon you.
55. Living for God In John 9:4 Your word says, 'We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us.' Holy Spirit, control my itinerary, my curriculum, my appointments, and my schedule so that you can accomplish through me all you desire. I don't want to waste time.
56. Sin Holy Spirit, convict me quickly when I sin. And cause me to repent just as fast. Don't let more than a minute or two go by before I give you back Lordship in my life.
57. Lordship Oh Father, my old nature is strong. It constantly wants to do the very thing I know is wrong. It is at war with my soul. Help me to realize that it no longer rules me. By your son's death on the cross, I can let your Holy Spirit control me, giving me peace. I confess my sins and give you that control, Holy Spirit, and by faith, you are now controlling me.
58. Holiness Lord, don't let there be even be a hint of sexual immorality, impurity or greed within me.
59. Love Jesus, help me to realize that there is nothing that I can do to get you to love me any less, and there is nothing that I can do to get you to love me any more. You love me perfectly, just as I am. Cause me to rest in that?
60. Evangelism Lord, I need people in my life who don't know you. Don't let me only have Christian friends. I want to share my life and faith with others who aren't believers.
61. Quiet Times Holy Spirit, help me have consistent quiet times. Keep me meeting with you on a regular basis. I have so much to learn.
62. Gossip Teach me what gossip really is and how it spreads among Christians, and stop me from being a part of it.
63. Vows to God Lord, show me how important it is to You that I keep the vows that I make to you. Don't let me break them simply because I am unhappy. Let me trust you for answers so I can keep all the promises I make.
64. Love Teach me to love my enemies. Lord, that's the last thing I want to do, but Jesus you made it so clear. Teach me to love my enemies.
65. My Speech Don't ever let me lie. Let my 'yes be yes' and my 'no be no.'
66. Humilty When I am giving gifts to those in need, help me to do it quietly. Don't let me boast or brag about it.
67. Living For God Father, Don’t let me live to please others. Help me live in such a way that I have an “Audience of One”, that one being you, Lord. Help me to live in such a way that I’m only worried about pleasing you.
68. Focus Help me to realize that the clothes I wear or the things I have or the shape of my body isn't what measure me as a person. What makes me a person is my character and my knowledge of you. Cause me to focus in the areas that are key.
69. Faith Father, Build my faith so it becomes strong in you; little by little, day by day. Let my faith be exercised so that it is consistently growing stronger day by day, so I’ll eventually be able to trust you for mighty things.
70. Living for God Do whatever you need to do in my life to make me the person you want me to be. I completely yield to you.
71. Global Evangelism Father, I pray for the missionaries that we support. Keep them strong in your grace. Give them favor in the eyes of those they minister to. Help them be innocent as doves, yet wise as serpents. Take care of their financial needs and their children's education. Make their ministries extremely fruitful and productive. And most of all, give them a deep abiding joy in you alone that they would constantly be overflowing with rivers of living water so that those around them would look at them and say, 'Whatever it is you've got, I want it.'
72. Delighting In God God, I have lots of dreams. Things I want to do. Places I want to go. How I want my life to count. In Psalm 37:4 you say, 'Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.' Cause me to delight in YOU more than anyone or anything else, and then fulfill my dreams. But if for some reason I am not delighting in you, shatter my dreams until all I have left is you. As the old saying goes, 'You'll never know Jesus is all you need until Jesus is all you've got.' Jesus, I need and want and need you, and you alone.
73. Holiness Lord, Your word tells me that I am holy. Most of the time I don't feel it. A lot of time I don't act it. But if you see it that way, it must be that way. In 1 Peter 1:15-16, You say, "Be holy in all your behavior because it is written, you shall be holy." O Father, cause me to live a holy life in every thought, in every attitude... in every area of my life.
